WHO IS ROAD?

The Refugee Opportunity and Development Programme (ROAD), one of Branches of Hope’s initiatives, currently serves over 600 refugees and asylum seekers (non-refoulement claimants), mainly from Africa, Middle East and South Asia living in Hong Kong. The mission of ROAD is to equip, educate, and empower individuals and families to become positive and contributing members of our community.

THE 'ROAD' METHOD

ROAD helps refugees and asylum seekers (non-refoulement claimants) regain their dignity and move them towards self-sufficiency using three major approaches:

  • INTEGRATE refugees into local society and promote Hong Kong as an inclusive and harmonious city
  • RESETTLE refugees to a new country, or preparing alternative arrangements.
  • REPATRIATE refugees when advisable.
