Through spending time with the Branches of Hope community, I became acquainted with the stories of refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong. Refugees and asylum seekers also suffer from the lack of ability to choose, much like trafficking victims, but their pain often go unnoticed because it takes on a quieter form. I am encouraged that people from my church are actively living out the mission to stand for those who are marginalised by the institution, and I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve those around me.
